If you’re a Durham local and keep an ear out for these kinds of things, you may have heard that Scratch bakery was moving to the old Davis Bakery Building on Chapel Hill Street in the Tuscaloosa-Lakewood neighborhood. I’ve heard this from a couple different sources. However, I recently heard through the Durham grapevine that the owners of Scratch actually plan to open, not another Scratch location, but a dinner restaurant with a roof deck! While there are plenty of great spots to eat nearby, a nice place to go out to dinner, especially with outdoor seating, would be pretty exciting. I’ll be keeping an ear out for confirmation…this is one rumor I hope turns out to be true.
